Birthday song!

Why the privacy stint? Because, this morning I wake up to see an email from my dad, which says, 'I read your blog, don't use fowl language, but I like it', or something to that extent. So we are now private!

It's nearly birthday day! :) 12 hours to go, PST. Post 2 hours IST.

It's picture time!!!

*Major PMS alert*

So I woke up this morning feeling as shitty as humanly possible. Its been a shitty set of days in LA, with some mad rains. Rains hard enough to cancel the one class I was supposed to attend this week, making me feel shitty. That, actually, worked pretty OK, because I haven't been able to keep my eyes open for the last few days. This jetlag can be quite an annoying thing.

Today was especially bad. I woke up, determined to do SOMETHING, just anything, really. I woke up early (naturally, because I'm still living by India time!), had a bath and was good to go when my mood suddenly swung. I think its post-India syndrome, but I couldn't stop feeling miserable and upset. So I took a long walk in the rain. Unfortunately my ipod decided to turn its back on me too and played the saddest songs in the history of music, good songs nevertheless. And me, I listened. Felt worse. Needless to say, the walk did not help.

As if things aren't bad enough, it seems like I've already managed to piss people off in LA. Because there are fewer conversations, fewer smiles, fewer everything. And I don't even talk that much. I honestly. for the life of me, fathom what's wrong with the world.

I think, and this is the only explanation I've come up with, it's the advent of February. The dreaded month of February. The days of misery seem to have rrived early this year! Man, I'm rambling!

I feel alone. :(

And I feel like such a sissy!

Sigh.

How could they do this!!!?

The first story books I read while growing up were Archie comics. By story books I mean, comics (which is what I called them then) and by reading, I mean looking at the illustrations. A major part of my childhood was in my grandmother's house, where my (then a teenager) uncle had a big collection of Archie comics. I'm 22, and to this date am a huge fan. Everytime I travel by train, I make sure I have two new Double Digests with me!

I loved those pin up pages in the comics because then, I would take out my drawing book and proceed to draw and colour them. I've even attempted to send in a few illustrations to the 'Archie comics headquarters' (as I called them lol), but like the other letters I wrote, they never made it past my room.

As you can probably guess, my favourite character (like every other girl's growing up)was Betty Cooper. I loved her! I hated Veronica Lodge for a long time! I never really like Archie; always preferred Jughead. But I always wanted Archie and Betty to end up together!

So, why the this post?

Because I just found out what's going to happen!
THIS is going to happen!! (I know Archie, Betty and Veronica are all 67 year old teenagers, but still this is just too much bad news!!)
The comic is out on August 19th when Archie finally proposes to Veronica. :( :( :(

I always rooted for Betty. They are just comic book characters but how would you feel if suddenly T-Bone was killed off in a Swat Kats episode or if Optimus Prime had ACTUALLY died in Transformers. So unfair!!! And get this, as if this weren't enough, they're going to pair Betty with Jughead!! I agree opposites attract, but COME ON!

In Rachel Green's words, I've watched them all, I'm a big fan!

My holidays have been super boring, so far, with the exception of maybe two days.

So, its a serious hurray for downloads, which really saved my life! I have turned into the ultimate movie buff, at the rate of two-three movies a day.

The must-watch ones:

1. Elizabethtown - starring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. Nice movie, very feel good ending, brilliant background score! Its about this dude who's lost just about everything in his life and his story henceforth.

2. Beetlejuice - Alec Baldwin, Catherine O'Hara. Yes, I only just watched it, to those of you who just gave me a look of disappointment! But to those of you who haven't, watch it. The movie is really really old, a fantasy fiction, with Winona Ryder in her teens, and Alec Baldwin with absolutely no sarcasm!

3. The Nightmare before Christmas - I'm completely rediscovering Tim Burton. Another fantasy fiction animated part musical. A movie about a Jack o Lantern who discovers Christmas.

4. The Darjeeling Limited - Still in the middle of this one. Starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody nd Jason Schwartzman, a story of three brothers on a journey through India, with a hidden mission that only Owen Wilson knows.

5. Definitely, Maybe - Ryan Reynolds. Very very very cute! A story of how dad met mom, as told to the daughter. Brilliant performances.

The OK-you-can-skip-it-if-you-have-something-else-to-do list:

1. Forgetting Sarah Marshall - I downloaded this one because of Jason Segel. And Mila Kunis. It stars the two and Kristen Bell (XOXO Gosip Girl). OK movie. Its a very very predictable movie, but parts of it are nice, and parts of it are completely unnecessary(by parts, I mean parts of the human anatomy...male!).

2. High Fidelity - John Cusack. Old movie. OK movie. Good music. But feel good factor in the end. All could think of after watching this was, there's some hope left for the dudes in the world!

3. Alfie - If you watch How I Met Your Mother, you've probably seen a much more awesome version of Alfie in Barney Stinson- What up!! The story of a womanizer, impeccably dressed, almost always in suits! When I watched it, I was going, oh my God, Jude Law is so Barney!!

4. Jack and Jill vs. The World - This one was nice, actually. But not a must-watch. Starring Freddie Prinze Jr. Watch it.

The ones you can safely skip:

1. Happy go-lucky - Set in London, this movie's about a woman, who's completely oblivious to what actually happens in life. It received reallt high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, but I couldn't sit through it. May you could, though.

The ones I want to watch:

1. James and The Giant Peach - Download nearly complete! Yippieeeee!:)
2. Marley and Me - Stupid fake torrent.
3. Rachel getting married
4. Nick and Norah's infinite playlist
5. The Reader
6. The Curious case of Benjamin Button
7. Last chance, Harvey
8. Bride Wars

Phew, looks like the rest of my holidays are set!:)

Reviews are welcome!

PS - Also, check this out. Its AWESOME!!

I hate the way you talk to me,
the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate the way you stare.
I hate your big combat boots,
the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right,
I hate the way you lie.
I hate the way you make me laugh,
and even more when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around,
and the fact that you didn't call,
but mostly I hate that I don't hate you,
not even close,
not a little bit,
not even at all.

I am such a girl!

And I miss Heath Ledger:(:(

Waaaaaaaaaa:( Sob sob sob...

This post is going to be relatively sad.

I'm not big on adjusting to change. In fact I hate when people change, things around me change, and everything becomes different.

It totally blows!!

One of my best friends is flying back to the US today. I just went and met him, and it really sucks to say goodbye! Again. I went to meet him with his girlfriend, and it was just tooooo sad! I tried to steal his passport and ticket, but the smart guy kept it far away from me! I hope it rains so hard his flight gets cancelled! (OK call me immature, but I really couldn't give a damn. This is one of my moody and impossible phases.) Even though he was here for quite sometime, he was almost always busy and hardly met us, and is going away so soon!

This sucks!!!
