I'm 24 and 4 months. So's my cousin, well, actually she's 24 and three. Which makes her a month younger. And guess what she did on the morning of 7th July? She went and got married. Yes, I kid you not. She. Got. Married. Did I mention she's just 24?

Yeah, some of you must be going, 24? That's not just 24, that's old enough. You guys need to come out and smell the generation gap.

But seriously, 24. I just finished school. I haven't even gotten started with the life bit yet. I'm single, unemployed and freaked out about where the hell I'm headed. But the one thing I am sure about is that there's no way I'm ready to get married. Any time soon.

I have a question for you guys. When do you know?

I'm 24, got married at 22 years and eight months, educated in the US. Happily married to my college sweetheart, gainfully employed and love my life.

There's no such thing as too young to be married, as far as I am concerned. I'm sure my friends all thought the same thing too -- that I was too young to be doing this.

What is too young anyway? Do you wake one morning and think, oh yeah, now I'm definitely old enough/ready to be married? No, it depends on the individual, and the context of the relationship. Some people may not be ready at 30 either and that's okay.

My husband and I have been together for three and a half years now, we lived together in college and we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Now it may work out and it may not, I am not under any illusions whatsoever, but we are giving this our best shot.

Frankly, I'm just sick of the constant judgement.
